I knew about the lecture today, but I had no idea 110 men would be there, GULP! Still working with the Agriculture Bank--very interesting, I must admit. I guess it went fine (noone walked out or "boooooed me":).
Whew, it's gotten hot, too. Over 100 every day--and, yep, no air in the house. One thing is certain, we need to appreciate EVERYTHING we have!
Had "the" security briefing this morning (same one I had in October)--just rip-roaring fun! It's mainly for military, but everyone who offically visits Pakistan must hear it--basically tries to scare you so you won't do anything stupid--like I'm planning on it, NO WAY!
Food--I haven't talked about that. Hummmm, where to begin--so far I have had rice and vegetables and more rice and more vegetables--oh, one day I had chapata (sp)--basically a big tortilla. (I don't eat meat, scary:)! I did have an egg, too. Oh, today they had a mystery sandwich at the bank--even it was spicy--EVERYTHING--and I do mean everything is spicy--but in a weird way; hard to explain.
Heading for Lahore Saturday-Wednesday--working with some schools, etc.--OH BOY!! Lahore is really cool--and the hotel they have me stay in is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Really...I have NEVER been in one like it. They bring you fresh fruit and cakes--and candies--every day! Last time I was there they invited me to a dinner to welcome me--now that's nuts! Geogeous, too (I'll send pictures). Lahore has great big markets for shopping and lots of fun restaurants. I'll be working by day and shopping and eating by night:)!
That's it for today...tomorrow is yet another unniversity--meetings, etc., soooo......
